About one third of London is open space or parks. The Royal Parks site has an up to date resource of what is going on in London parks and which most activities are FREE of CHARGE!

Talking of free of charge, London has one of the most extensive array of Museums that do not charge an entry fee. The most notable is probably the British Museum. A visitor can easily spend weeks visiting museums in London without any expense. (There are from time to time, special exhibits, which do require payment.)
